ALL ROADS LEAD TO... The expression, ‘All Roads Lead to Rome' was derived from truth when all the empire’s roads led out from the capital city of Rome. The expression today relates to all paths or methods of doing something, and will eventually lead to the same place or result. My latest artwork in Graphics has led me to work more with ‘negative space’. (‘Positive space’ is the focal point or subject, and ‘negative space’ is the background or area around the subject). This type of art style seems to be more easily created in black & white, but I love saturated colour, so for now I’m taking that route.

Del Rey ~ Sitting alone on a bench looking at a Marina is a great way of people watching & meditation, or watching the shore from an anchored boat nearby is a great way to relax. I’ve heard it said that, “If you go to the beach, don’t bring a book.” Just sit there, concentrate on nothing, listen to the gulls, the surf, the happiness of people talking & laughing onboard their boats tied to the docks. If you like to draw, just sketch what you see. Make a little sketch journal to remind yourself - of where you were and the time you spend just being you. No pressure. Just breathe, and return home renewed.
